Build a life that you don't want to escape

Ryan Gray, Coach & Entrepreneur
Most of the people I work with aren't in crisis.
Their job's fine. The relationships are fine. The bank account is fine. On paper, nothing's wrong, but they wake up one day and realize that the life they've built feels like a cage.
They're always pushing towards the next thing. The next promotion, the next fitness event, the next trip abroad, the next partner, the next anything.
They're afraid that if they stop pushing they'll lose momentum and die.
They're constantly distracting themselves from the life that they have built – a life that they can't wait to escape.
They haven't fallen apart, at least not yet. They've just started to hear that little voice in the back of their head saying: Is this it? Is this really my life?
Listening to that voice is "the work."
Who Do I work With
What I DO
I started out as a productivity coach. My main goal was to help people get more done. But I started to see a pattern.
My productivity clients had no idea what was really driving them, or why they wanted to be more productive in the first place. We would come up with these elaborate, deeply personalized ways of accomplishing more, but we never stopped to ask the question: Why is doing more always the answer to the problem?
So I shut it down. I started to question my entire process, and really dig at the root of the challenges my clients were facing. It ultimately led me to the fundamental understanding that – more does not mean better.
My clients were using productivity as a way to distract themselves from experiencing their lives.
I'm not a therapist, or a guru, or a shaman. I'm a coach for people who are done with surface-level fixes and want to do the actual work of building a life that they don't want to escape.

What My Clients Say
Why Me
I spent twelve years as a First Responder. It made me feel useful and I was good at it.
I was also drinking too much, working too much, bouncing from relationship to relationship, and constantly searching for new ways to numb myself. It took a failed engagement, and a hard reset to finally see the patterns that had been running me since I was a kid.
This work isn't theoretical for me. I've walked the walk.
